The compensation will be calculated in accordance with the act relating to compensation for damages and practice from the courts. The guidelines provide information about how we determine the compensation.

First and foremost, we will cover any financial loss incurred by you as a result of the treatment injury. You cannot claim compensation for "pain and suffering".

If your claim for compensation is approved, you will predominantly be entitled to receive compensation to cover any direct loss or expenses incurred as a result of the injury. If you have become disabled as a result of the injury, we will cover loss of earnings. We will also be able to cover necessary and reasonable expenses. It is therefore essential that you keep relevant receipts.

If you have suffered a permanent and substantial injury, i.e. more than 15 percent medical disability, you may be entitled to compensation for permanent injury. Compensation for permanent injury is a financial compensation for the loss of personal fulfilment caused by the injury.

We will provide guidance throughout the process with regard to our approach to determining the correct compensation.

The calculation of the compensation is done on an entirely individual basis. We can therefore not provide any general indication of the compensation amounts relating to any specific injuries.
