Appealing
There are various avenues of appeal for decisions relating to drug injuries.
We can consider compensation claims for drug injuries both as a patient injury claim and as a drug claim; please see the information in the box on the right.
Patient injury cases
If your case is considered as a patient injury claim, you can appeal the decision to the Patients' Injury Compensation Board (PSN). The National Office for Health Service Appeals (Helseklage) acts as the secretariat for PSN and prepares cases.
Drug cases
When NPE processes a drug case, we carry out an assignment on behalf of Norsk Legemiddelforsikring (NLF). You cannot appeal the decision. If you wish to pursue the case further, you will have to bring the case before the courts.
